New Projects
We encourage all biomedical researchers carrying out research that may benefit from quantitative input to contact Lee Hazelwood so that we may determine if we are able to contribute.
We expect input to fall broadly into the following two categories:
Research partners
If you wish include the group as a research partner on a grant proposal please feel free to contact the group at any time, though inclusion at an earlier stage will maximise our potential contribution. This would normally be funded though grant allocation and managed by the university research management process with economic costs being attributed to the Bioinformatics technology group.
Pump priming
The group also offers pump priming research opportunities that are intended to be followed up by future research proposals. Some funding is available from the BHRC to support this, however they will be subject to the following review process:
- Contact Lee Hazelwood to discuss potential projects and areas for collaboration.
- BTG reviews potential applications monthly and most projects will be able to go ahead after this stage.
- Quarterly review by Steering committee which may be required in some cases.
Eligibility
All staff scientists and clinicians at the University of Leeds and Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust are eligible for the resource. The resource may also be made available to academic and industrial collaborators from outside the university, subject to specific agreements.
